iPod and iTunes news

Well…I have an ipod touch and want to buy a cover for it, but when i went to an online store it said there were two different kinds of ipod touches which i wasn’t aware of. So is there a difference in their appearances, for the way the cover would fit them?

If I select iTunes, I can use my quickplay buttons on my laptop (stop, pause/play, next, and previous) however, if I open my web-browser for instance, and use those buttons, iTunes will not work. It always worked with WMP but with iTunes it doesn’t. Any help?

I am new at the whole ipod thing. I am planning on getting an ipod shuffle. I want to put music I already ripped to my computer on my ipod. Do I have to go buy music from itunes? Is there not a way to transfer songs from my computer to the ipod?

I recently got my ipod.I downloaded some songs from lime wire and now I want to transfer it into my ipod nano.The songs are all in a floder called “shared” and I treid transfering it but it didn’t work.I first transfered the songs into “Eric’s ipod” but it’s not in my ipod.Please help!

I have a 5th Generation iPod video that I named Bobbi’s iPod. But under the About screen on the iPod, it shows up as BOBBI’S IPO. How do I fix this?

In iTunes, it shows up as Bobbi’s iPod, but on the actual iPod and on My Computer, it shows up as BOBBI’S IPO.

Recently I deleted an album off my library while my ipod was still connected to the computer. The album was then taken off my ipod when I ejected it; can I disconnect my ipod first, then delete it off of my library? Is that even possible? Will the album or songs still stay on my ipod even when it is not on the library?

I live in a college dorm. I used to be able to see everyone else’s shared iTunes music back when my laptop was just plugged into the ethernet in the wall. But I got a wireless router and started using it and now I can’t see anyone else’s music. I there a way that I can while still using the wireless?

Itunes says my ipod is currupted and needs to restored. I can’t get it to restore and I’ve tried to do the thing ipod website says to do but it didn’t work.
