iPod and iTunes news

If I select iTunes, I can use my quickplay buttons on my laptop (stop, pause/play, next, and previous) however, if I open my web-browser for instance, and use those buttons, iTunes will not work. It always worked with WMP but with iTunes it doesn’t. Any help?

I realize that iTunes is not a clever program. Or should I say the problem is me, cause I am an ass? I can not set the program to recognize automatically my new songs in a given folder… Every time I have to drag and drop the song. Anyone can help me?
